Opening Announcements

Does your team make use of drones at this time?  If so, how do they use them.  If not, what types of activities do you think might benefit from having an eye in the sky?



Now we will begin CERT team roll calls, grouped by participating City CERT teams.  We will take any late or missing members after roll call finishes.  After roll call, we will call for visiting stations.


Davis City CERT

- Davis doesn't have one that I know of
- during cache creek ridge ride used a drone to try to find a horse (but it didn't find the horse)

Elk Grove / Galt

- no drones in folsom CERT
- folsom PD might use them, however
     - thermal camera, eg
- communications is possible if you strap a micro repeater to them
- looked at regulations for public service agencies: individual pilots are part 107 certified, or the agency is

- don't think folsom cert has
- homeless camp cleanups have use them for pictures
- relay station for communications if possible







Sacramento Metro Fire CERT

- metro fire does, around fires
- there are issues with using drones like other air traffic or other drones

West Sacramento
